“Movies will make you famous, television will make you rich, but theatre will make you good.” ~ Terrance Mann
Performing on stage, and performing well requires great craftsmanship. From the basics of understanding S.L., S.R., U.S., & D.S., to finer performance techniques such as voice control, physicality, character development, and playing to an audience, stagecraft equips the training actor.
Our stagecraft groups work towards their performance over a period of two Terms, with Showcases taking place at the end of Terms 2 and 4. Actors have the opportunity to work in a small team of performers, playing their part, developing their character, learning to act and re-act, in order to create a final production.
Stagecraft classes are available for years 1-3 students on Tuesday afternoons from 3:45pm – 4:45pm.
Years 4-6 classes run on Thursday afternoons form 3:45pm – 4:45pm.
Years 7-12 classes run on Thursday afternoons from 5:15-6:15pm.
